The Sibyl came from the Greek word sibylla or the "prophetess". The Cumean Sibyl lived in "The cave at Cumae". They said the sibyl was possessed by Apollo, god of light and the sun; truth and prophecy; archery; medicine and healing; music, poetry, and the arts; and more, to become a priestess of him.
